INCH A to Z: The Bs from PQ

Once upon a time, the Canadian postal abbreviation for the province of Quebec was PQ, but INCH A to Z won't tread on that part of the alphabet for at least a couple of weeks. However, we do cast our eyes toward Quebec, and a couple of talented natives of the province who are making an impact on the college hockey scene in the U.S.

Former Sacred Heart men's ice hockey captain Alexandre Parent (Boisbriand, QC) has signed a contract with the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL to play during the 2008-09 season.

Dan Muse Named Men's Ice Hockey Assistant Coach

Head Coach Shaun Hannah has announced the hiring of Dan Muse as a new assistant coach for the Sacred Heart men's ice hockey team. A former letter-winner for Stonehill College, Muse comes to SHU after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Williams College.

Four Atlantic Hockey Student-Athletes Earn ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Honors

Four student-athletes with ties to Atlantic Hockey have earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® All-District honors as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). Frank Schiavone, Air Force, was a First Team District VII member, while Bryce Hollweg, Army; Andrew Loewen, Canisius and Alexandre Parent, Sacred Heart were Second Team District I honorees.
