Former Crusader Marc Bianchi Signs With CHL's Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas. - Former Holy Cross
defenseman Marc Bianchi has signed a contract with the Central
Hockey League's Lubbock Cotton Kings for the 2006-07 season.
A four-year member (2002-2006) of the Holy Cross men's hockey team,
Bianchi played in 106 career games with three goals and 14 assists
for 17 points, including a career best one goal and six assists for
seven points as a senior in 2005-06. He was a two-time member of
the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team (2005 & 2006).
Bianchi was a member of a class that won 82 games, which are the most wins in a four-year period in the program's history. He was also a part of two NCAA Tournament Appearances, the first ever NCAA Tournament win in school history and two Atlantic Hockey Tournament and Regular Season titles.
After last year's collegiate season, Bianchi joined the Adirondack Frostbite of the United Hockey League on an amateur agreement for two games.
