
AIR FORCE'S EHN RUNNER-UP FOR HOBEY BAKER
AWARD
(Falcon Forward Also Named RBK Second Team East All-American)
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Junior Eric Ehn (Dexter, Mich.) was part of Frozen
Four weekend as he was named to the Hobey "Hat Trick" and to the
RBK Division I Second Team East All-American squad. Ehn
becomes the first Atlantic Hockey Association player to be honored
with these accolades.
Ehn, who won the fan voting for the Hobey Baker, fell short on the
overall voting as sophomore Ryan Duncan of North Dakota garnered
the award. Joining Ehn and Duncan as part of the Hobey "Hat
Trick" was senior David Brown of Notre Dame. During the
regular season, Eric was named to the Atlantic Hockey First Team
All-Conference as well as being named Player of the Year. Ehn
finished the year second in the country with 64 points (24g, 40a)
just two points behind T.J. Hensick of Michigan. Eric also
set the single season scoring mark in Atlantic Hockey with 45
points (16g, 29a).
Eric is joined on the frontline of the RBK Second Team East
All-American by junior Nick Dodge of Clarkson and sophomore Trevor
Smith of New Hampshire. On the blueline are sophomore Matt
Gilroy and senior Sean Sullivan, both of Boston Univeristy, while
sophomore John Quick of Massachusetts is the Second Team netminder.
The First Team All-American East squad is comprised of senior
goaltender John Curry of Boston University, senior Drew Bagnall of
St. Lawrence and Reid Cashman of Quinnipiac are the defense pairing
with senior Brian Boyle of College, David Jones of Dartmouth and
Michell Leveille of Maine are the forwards.
In addition to being named a RBK All-American, Ehn was honored by
Inside College Hockey and United States College Hockey Online as a
member of each media outlets First Team, as well a being named the
Most Improved Player by USCHO.
