Former Crusader Tony Quesada Signs With The AHL’S Houston Aeros

HOUSTON, Texas. - Former Holy Cross goaltender Tony Quesada has signed a contract
with the American Hockey League's Houston Aeros for the 2006-07 season, the team
announced Monday. The Aeros are the affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild.

A four-year member of the Holy Cross men's hockey team, Quesada ranks first all-time
at Holy Cross in wins (61), save percentage (.915), goals against average (2.50),
games played (105) and minutes played (6033:54), while he is second in saves (2700).


Quesada was named second team All-Atlantic Hockey in the 2005-06 season, after
posting a 22-6-2 record with 840 saves, a 2.30 goals against average and a .925 save
percentage. A semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award as the top American-born
player in New England, he set school single season records for victories, save
percentage, games played (30) and minutes played (1773:00) this past season.

He was also named the Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week five times in 2005-06,
earned the Atlantic Hockey Regular Season goaltending Award for his 2.22 goals
against average in league games, and was selected to the Atlantic Hockey
All-Tournament team. His .767 winning percentage was second best in the nation.
Quesada made 35 saves in Holy Cross' 4-3 overtime victory over Minnesota to advance
to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.
