
BENTLEY'S CUCCI SIGNS WITH TRETON (ECHL)

TRENTON, NJ (March 19, 2008) - The Trenton Devils today announced
that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Joe Cucci. Per club
policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Glen Ridge, N.J.
native joins Jim Henkel and Matt Radoslovich as Devils who hail
from the Garden State.
The 22-year-old Cucci joins the professional ranks with the Devils
after playing over 30 games in each of his four seasons with
Bentley. He places in the program's top 10 list for most games
played in a career.
In his collegiate career, Cucci notched 15 points in 128 games. The
defenseman was strongly utilized on the penalty kill for the
Falcons.
Cucci, who stands at 5'11", 195 lbs, started his high school career
in New Jersey. Playing for Hudson Catholic, he won the state
championship as a freshman.
He then moved on to Connecticut to play for New England prep Avon
Old Farms, winning the team's Brian Leetch Award in his junior and
senior years as the squad's best defenseman. In 2004, he led the
team to the New England Championship and was honored as
Connecticut's best defenseman at the 2004 Hockey Night in
Boston.
The Trenton Devils will start a two-game home stand against the
Wheeling Nailers at Sovereign Bank Arena tomorrow, March 20 at
