Former Crusader Dams Signs with Romijnders in Netherlands
Former Crusader Marty Dams Signs with the Romijnders Devils of the Netherlands
NIJMEGEN, Netherlands¬ – Former Holy Cross hockey player
and 2008-2009 senior captain Marty Dams has signed a contract with
the Romijnders Devils of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. They play in
the Dutch Eredivisie, which is the highest-level hockey division in
the Netherlands.
Dams scored four goals and had 20 assists over four years as a
Crusader defender as he played 124 career games. As a junior he
received the Glenn "Spike" Crane Memorial Award given to the player
who excels most in the little things and leads his teammates by
example. As a senior, he had two goals and five assists for seven
points and earned the Michael P. Quinn Award given to the best
defensive Holy Cross hockey player over the course of the season.
As a freshman he had a career-best seven assists.
