RIT's Newman added to East Roster for 2009 Frozen Four Skills Challenge

RIT's Jesse Newman selected to compete in 2009 NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge


INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Senior forward Jesse Newman (Kelowna, British Columba) of the RIT men's hockey team will compete in the fourth annual Frozen Four Skills Challenge, which will be held on Friday, April 10 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Newman, who was originally selected as an alternate, received word on Tuesday that he would compete.

Newman enjoyed an excellent senior season for the Tigers, recording 29 points (9-20-29) in 37 games, and was a team-best plus-13. Newman recorded 17 goals and 50 assists for 67 points in 120 career games for RIT.
