Fairfield, CT - Former Sacred
Heart men's ice hockey captain Alexandre
Parent (Boisbriand, QC) has signed a contract with the
Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL to play during the 2008-09
season. Parent finished his SHU career as the school's all-time
leader in games played and ranks fifth all-time in goals, second in
points, and second in assists.
"Alex is a very skilled, focused, first-year pro," said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "He had a lot of teams heavily recruiting him. He decided to sign with the Sea Wolves and come to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and that says a lot about our fans and our strong program."
As a senior, Parent recorded his best season, scoring 19 goals and adding 21 assists. He earned First Team All-Atlantic Hockey honors for his performance.
