NEW YORK, N.Y. - Former Holy Cross hockey player
Patrick Rissmiller has signed with the New York
Rangers as announced by the team's President and General Manager
Glen Sather.
Rissmiller, who was an unrestricted free agent, had 18 goals and 27
assists for 45 points in 180 NHL games with the San Jose Sharks.
Last year, he recorded eight goals and nine assists for 17 points
in 79 games with San Jose. In the 2006-2007 season, Rissmiller
scored seven goals and had 15 assists for a career-best 22 points.
He has played in 30 career NHL play-off games with three goals and
four assists for seven points.
As a four-year Crusader (1998-02), Rissmiller recorded 53 goals and
90 assists for 143 points in 131 games. He is second on the Holy
Cross Division I all-time points and assists lists, while he is
tied for fourth in goals. In his senior season, Rissmiller led the
Crusaders in assists (30) and points (46) as he was named the MAAC
Offensive Player of the Year.
