WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head men's hockey coach Paul Pearl has announced the 2011-2012 freshman class for the Crusaders.Tommy Dwyer (Ridgefield, Conn.), Matt Ginn (Lindsay, Ontario), Mike McNamara (Chestnut Hill, Mass.), Nilan Nagy (Canonsburg, Pa.) and Jake Youso (International Falls, Minn.) will join the Holy Cross program for the 2011-2012 academic year.
"We are extremely excited about this year's incoming freshman
class," said Pearl. "Up front with Dwyer, McNamara and Youso, we
have added size, speed and great hockey sense. On defense, in Nagy,
we have added a player who we think is capable of significant
minutes right away. Ginn was one if not the the best goalies for
two years in the BCHL. His puck stopping and puck handling
abilities will give him an opportunity to play right away."
